What it shows

Altcoin Momentum is a Premium page that combines four measures into one composite score for a large group of altcoins, with ETH included. Breadth shows how many coins trade above their 20, 50 and 200 day moving averages. Momentum uses RSI and rate of change. ALT vs BTC shows the share of coins that beat Bitcoin over the last month. Volume thrust shows coins that break above a short average on strong volume. The page shows the composite with a zone label and its change from the previous day. It also has a component breakdown, a score trend chart, a sector breakdown and a coin table with moving average cross signals. The page updates daily.

How to read it

Read the composite and its zone label first, then the change from the previous day. Open the component breakdown to see which measure drives the score. High breadth means many coins take part, and low breadth means a few coins lead. Check ALT vs BTC to see whether altcoins beat Bitcoin as a group. Use the trend chart to see the direction of the score over time. In the coin table, search a symbol and read its moving averages, RSI and cross signal together.

  1. Read the composite score, its zone label and the daily change.
  2. Open the component breakdown and find the measure that drives the score.
  3. Search a coin in the table and read its cross signal.

What to keep in mind

The score is a model summary of a fixed group of coins. Stablecoins and tokenized commodities are left out, so the group can differ slightly from a market-cap ranking. The zone labels describe score bands and are not instructions. Moving averages and RSI use past prices and lag the market. The score updates once a day, so it does not show intraday changes. A single coin can behave differently from the group.

A missing value is not zero. Check the source and time under each data block before you compare numbers.

Questions

What is altcoin market breadth?

Breadth counts how many altcoins trade above their moving averages. A high share means many coins take part in a trend. A low share means a few coins lead while the rest lag. The page combines three averages into one breadth reading.

How is the Altcoin Momentum score different from the ALT/BTC Radar?

The score combines breadth, momentum, strength against Bitcoin and volume thrust into one daily reading. The ALT/BTC Radar ranks single BTC pairs by relative strength over selectable windows. Use the score for the group and the radar for single coins.

Is Altcoin Momentum free?

No. Altcoin Momentum is part of NinjaTools Premium. Sign in with a Premium account to open the page. The score, the trend chart and the coin table sit inside that page. The app lists the plans.
